When Elizabeth and Erik hired me there were living abroad in Japan! We were connected through her father and grandmother when they attended a tasting at their venue, The Greenbriar Inn. They changed their date several times because of covid. In the end, like so many 2020 couples, they opted for a small ceremony in 2020 and moved the big party in 2021.
We started with a first look and portrait session at Mt Falcon. It was the most perfect fall day in the foothills and it was just perfect for Elizabeth and Erik to start their day off with their beautiful pup! Erik had teased that he wanted to dye his hair blue before the ceremony. Elizabeth didn’t sign up on that idea, but she did surprise him with a blue wig during their first look.
Following our photo session at Mt Falcon, we moved to Elizabeth’s grandmother’s house where both families were preparing for the ceremony. The backyard was so beautifully decorated and we started the ceremony just in time to get the perfect light. It was an intimate and sweet ceremony that included their dog.
Dinner was pizza and the family gathered around the table together laughing and celebrating the couple. Erik’s mom made a traditional Norwegian cake. Because Erik loves ice cream cake so much, Elizabeth wanted to surprise him with one at the end of the night. It was perfect!
We will gather again in June for the big part at The Greenbriar Inn. I am looking forward to spending more time with Elizabeth, Erik, and their families again! Thank you, friends. It was an honor to be part of your beautiful day!
