Red Rocks Proposal // Morrison, CO

I was thrilled when Kurush contacted me to help plan (and photograph!) his proposal. They were visiting Colorado from California and a visit to Red Rocks was top on their list of things to do. I had been to Red Rocks at the time we planned for the proposal to happen so that I could check the light. I arrived early and found my position… and waited. I was so nervous and excited that I could hardly keep it together.

I got the text that they had arrived and I soon had them in my view. Kurish and I discussed the row that they would stop at so that I’d have the right angle. They got to the spot. He got down on one knee. She threw her hands around his neck and kissed him. Mission accomplished.

I hung back a little bit so they could enjoy the minute and then I approached and introduced myself. I was surprise #2! We spent the next hour going around the park taking pictures and then they were on their way.

Photographing proposals are a bit nerve racking but SO much fun! I am so glad I could deliver these images to them from this incredible moment in their lives.
