Hi. I’m Caroline and I wanna take your picture. Here’s a bit more about myself and my photography.

How did you start out in photography?

I started in high school with a black and white film photography class. I learned how to process and develop film and continued taking classes in college, with a focus on photojournalism. When I relocated to Colorado and had my daughters, I switched to digital.

What type of equipment do you use?

I’m a Canon lover. I use mostly L series prime lenses.

How would you describe your style?

My style is fun, natural and honest.  I try my best to make my clients feel comfortable during our time together, creating images that feel familiar and emotional. I love pretty light and use it to create natural and artistic photographs. I direct my clients towards backdrops that work and offer a bit of direction to help create real connections and expression. In the end, my hope is that your session tells the story of who you are as a family, or couple, in this point in time.

Do you offer high resolution files?

Yes. I prefer lifestyle photography and find that the photos work best along side each other to tell a story. For this reason, I include the files in the session price. I encourage my clients to work with me on print and product orders (….. and am soooooo grateful to clients who support my business by ordering prints through me….) but I do not have a minimum order requirement and you do get a print release with your session.

When and where will the session be?

I prefer to schedule family and couples sessions in the evening or morning when the light is just right.  This is usually about an hour before sunset, or around 8 or 9 in the morning for sessions outside.  Sessions at your home can be booked anytime. I have several outdoor locations that I like to shoot at and work with my clients to decide what location is best. For “Day in the Life” sessions, I like to make an adventure out of our time together. I typically start at the home and include a walk to the park, bike ride or fun family activity.

What should I wear?

I think your style is your own and recommend that, first and foremost, be who you are and wear what you are comfortable in.  For families I recommend choosing a couple complimentary tones without being too matchy-matchy. Jeans, boots, scarfs and jewelry photography well. Don’t be afraid to accessorize, but (again) stay try to you. (Personally, I like to find something I feel pretty in and dress my family around my outfit… I tend to be the hardest one to dress!)

Do you allow for wardrobe changes?

Yes, the photo sessions are 60-90 minutes and there is plenty of time for wardrobe changes. Wardrobe changes are encouraged for senior and engagement sessions.

Why should we choose you?

I am passionate about my craft and dedicated to my clients. I never take for granted that I am being trusted with precious memories. I love the feeling I get when I receive an email from a client expressing their delight in the images they receive. This is my goal for every family session and wedding I shoot. I’m proud to say I have a pretty good track record.

Are you insured?

Yes, I carry indemnification insurance as well as equipment insurance.

How long until I am able to see my images?

My typical turn around time for family and portrait sessions is about one-two weeks depending on the season.  When your images are edited and ready for viewing I will email you a link to your online proofing gallery.  From there you can order prints, download digital copies, and even choose images for an album.

This sounds great, how do we proceed?

Please contact me via email to set up a date, time and location. I will be happy to answer any questions you have about my family/senior/newborn sessions or weddings. Once you are booked, I will email you the additional information you will need for your session.
